Trevor Goring

Ongoing Exhibition of Artist work, with public presentation on Saturday 14th November at 4pm International artist Trevor Goring will open his Cork City riverside studio, Woodsgift, (located on the Western Road, just across the river from the Glucksman Gallery) to the viewing public for three days during the Art Trail event. He will give a talk and answer questions on his professional practice as a contemporary artist, a painter of legal history and a full time portrait artist working on both sides of the Atlantic.

Large and medium format paintings and drawings from the 2008/9 series The Golden Bough, some of which formed the recent solo exhibition at the Vanguard Gallery. Large format portraits on canvas and portrait sketches will give an insight into the extensive commissioned portraiture executed by the artist both in Ireland and throughout North America. Limited edition prints reflecting on the history and symbolism of the law will represent the artist’s project Images Of Justice, founded in 1991 and exhibited in over 350 locations in the US, Canada and the UK.

Opening Hours: From noon to 6pm. Friday 13th , Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th , the public is invited to visit the artist’s studio, meet the artist and view a wide cross section of recent work.
