All above in Glanmire Orchard Arts Studio Times: day workshops 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Costs: Foundation Skills 2 day – €125. One Day advanced - €80 Quick fix fuse – €20. Create a piece of fused work in a crazy 2 hour frenzy. No experience required. This can be arranged for groups (min 3 – max 8) at any time (including evenings) during art-trail. Prices include Materials, refreshments and good quality vegetarian lunch for day courses.

Orchard Arts Studios are set to be launched this Autumn with full public liability insurance secured through the Crafts Council of Ireland. The facilities include the necessary equipment for casting, slumping as well as traditional stained glass. A contemporary detached purpose built building; it is set overlooking secluded rich woodlands of Glanmire. Well attended workshops have already taken place facilitated by the well known glass artist Michael Ray. www. glitteringglass.com. Fusing slumping and glass casting techniques are being explored under Michael’s guidance. Resident artist Elaine Garde is currently exploring compositions using slumped found glass objects and copper welding.
